Georgia Horsley, 20 of Malton North Yorkshire, won the prestigious title of Miss England on Saturday 30 June at a glittering event held in Leicester and will now take part in the 57th Miss World pageant in Sanya, China later this year.

The Miss England competition is the most prestigious beauty competition in the UK leading to Miss World. The 2007 event raised over £27,000 for the Institute of Cancer Research and The Walk with Cancer Appeal.
